These (451) Muncie transmission can be identified by the fact they have a stud on the shift forks that secures the shift arm on the transmission with a nut. Note: 1969-1974 Muncie (452, 453) transmissions use a bolt to secure the shift arm to the shift fork of the transmission and this type of Muncie will require a different installation kit then this one. | This kit will fit many GM applications and year ranges of vehicles, both with and without factory consoles and a 1963-1968 Muncie (451) transmission.
