Installing a 7.3L Godzilla engine into a 65-79 F-series truck is the natural desire of many Ford truck enthusiasts. The OE GDZ oil pump location and the OE accessory drive present issues with GDZ engine swaps that Holley has sought to overcome. The Holley high-mount accessory drive, oiling system, and swap oil pan for the Ford 7.3-liter Godzilla engine effectively reduces the envelope this engine to make the GDZ engine a perfect fit. The integrated timing cover, oil pump, oil pan, water pump, alternator, and option for A/C and/or P/S, make a complete engineered swap solution for the classic F-series truck. The Holley system replaces Ford's sump-mounted oil pump with a high-capacity gerotor pump positioned behind the timing cover, gaining crucial crossmember and ground clearance. To ensure reliability, we have incorporated a proven pump design utilizing Melling sourced components that mimics the factory pressure level. Should your application require additional oil pressure, we offer a high-pressure spring kit (part# 302-102) for easy installation. Unlike most pumps that require removing the oil pan to change the pressure spring, we have introduced a first-of-its-kind external access port, allowing hassle-free spring switching. The F100 cast aluminum swap oil pan features a performance-minded windage tray and hinged trap-door baffle, guaranteeing proper oil pickup during high G maneuvers. Our accessory drive system offers flexible configuration options to meet various needs. Different alternator choices are available to cater to diverse performance and electrical requirements. If you prefer a customized modular setup, you can opt to exclude the A/C and/or P/S components.
