Lambda, EGT & Exhaust Sensors
Lambda Sensors, EGT Probes & Exhaust Monitoring
Understanding what's happening in your exhaust stream is one of the most powerful tools available for engine tuning and management. Lambda sensors provide real-time air-fuel ratio feedback that allows engine management systems to maintain correct fuelling or gives the tuner live data during a calibration session. EGT sensors monitor exhaust gas temperature — a critical parameter for understanding combustion quality, detecting detonation, and protecting turbocharged engines from overtemperature events. Getting accurate data from these sensors is fundamental to both performance optimisation and engine protection.
With 37 exhaust sensing products from Holley EFI, Racepak, and Earl's, our exhaust sensor range covers the monitoring equipment needed to understand and optimise combustion across the full operating range.
Wideband Lambda Sensors — Accurate Air-Fuel Data
A wideband oxygen sensor — unlike the narrowband sensors used in factory emission control systems — provides accurate air-fuel ratio measurement across the complete range from very rich to very lean. This makes it an essential tool for engine tuning: you cannot correctly calibrate a fuel system without knowing what air-fuel ratio the engine is actually running at each point in the operating range. Our wideband sensor range covers sensors for standalone controllers and those compatible with popular engine management systems, complete with bung fittings for installation in the exhaust system at an appropriate location ahead of any catalytic converters.
EGT Sensors — Exhaust Temperature Monitoring
Exhaust Gas Temperature sensors provide per-cylinder or global exhaust temperature data that's particularly valuable on forced induction applications. On turbocharged engines, EGT monitoring allows detection of individual cylinder misfires, lean conditions, and the over-temperature events that can damage turbine wheels and bearings. On nitrous applications, EGT data confirms that all cylinders are firing correctly and that the nitrous system is producing even power distribution across the engine. Our EGT sensor and bung range covers the installation hardware required to add temperature monitoring to any exhaust system.
Sensor Bungs and Installation Hardware
Oxygen sensor bungs and EGT sensor bungs allow the correct installation of sensors in exhaust pipes and collectors. Weld-in bungs provide the strongest, most reliable mounting for permanent installations; thread-in plugs allow temporary sensor positions during tuning. Our range covers both installation types in the standard thread sizes used by major sensor manufacturers.
