Brake Lines, Braided Hoses & Parking Brake Cables

The brake hydraulic system relies on the integrity of every line and hose in the circuit to function correctly and safely. A failed brake line or hose doesn't just cause reduced braking performance — it causes total brake failure on the affected circuit, with potentially serious consequences. Quality hydraulic brake lines and braided hoses maintain system integrity under the pressure, temperature, and vibration loads of normal and hard use, providing reliable long-term service without the perishing and bulging that affects old rubber components.

Our brake line range covers replacement hydraulic lines for common classic vehicle applications, braided stainless steel brake hoses for performance upgrades, and parking brake cables to complete brake system restorations and upgrades.

Braided Stainless Brake Hoses — Improved Pedal Feel

Factory rubber brake hoses flex slightly under hydraulic pressure — the hose expands marginally as pressure is applied, absorbing some of the pedal effort and producing a slightly spongey pedal feel. Braided stainless steel brake hoses are constructed with a PTFE inner lining surrounded by a stainless steel braid that prevents expansion under pressure. The result is a firmer, more consistent pedal with improved modulation — the driver's foot effort goes directly to the braking surfaces rather than partly into expanding the hose. This improvement in pedal feel is noticeable even in normal street use, and on track it contributes meaningfully to braking consistency and confidence.

Hydraulic Brake Lines for Disc Brake Conversions

Disc brake conversion kits often require new hydraulic brake lines routed to the new caliper positions — particularly where the factory drum brake hard line termination points don't align with the disc conversion caliper locations. Our brake line range includes pre-formed hard line sets for common conversion applications and the fittings required to adapt factory hard lines to the new disc brake setup.
