Overview

Haltech's Pressure Sensor Extension Kit delivers the cable length you need to properly route pressure sensors in complex engine builds. At 450mm (18"), this extension eliminates the compromises of short factory leads, allowing proper sensor placement away from heat sources whilst maintaining signal integrity throughout your EFI system.

Why You Need This

Engine bay packaging often forces pressure sensors into compromised locations — too close to exhaust manifolds, turbos, or buried where they're impossible to service. This is particularly problematic on LS swaps into tight chassis, RB builds with front-mount intercoolers, or any turbo setup where the factory sensor position puts it directly in the heat path. Poor sensor placement leads to heat-soaked readings, premature sensor failure, and tuning headaches.

The 450mm extension gives you the freedom to mount MAP sensors, boost reference sensors, and other pressure monitoring devices where they belong — away from extreme temperatures, accessible for maintenance, and properly secured. We've used these extensively on SR20 builds where the standard sensor position conflicts with aftermarket intake manifolds, and on 2JZ turbo conversions where relocating the MAP sensor away from the hot side improves reliability significantly. The shielded construction maintains clean signals even when routed near ignition components or high-current wiring.
