Plus, most caps have an optional wire retainer that is supplied with the cap to lock the wires in place. If you are upgrading from a points socket style cap you will need to change your boots and terminals. MSD offers a set of nine as PN 8849. | Replacement distributor cap for popular Chevy, Ford and Chrysler MSD distributors. This cap will also fit original GM points distributors.
