Supercharger Kits - Positive Displacement Power for American V8 Engines
Supercharging is one of the most effective ways to dramatically increase the power output of an American V8 engine while retaining the broad torque curve and drivability that makes these engines so compelling in real-world use. Unlike a turbocharger, which builds boost in proportion to exhaust flow and therefore has a characteristic lag before peak boost is achieved, a belt-driven positive displacement supercharger is mechanically linked to the crankshaft - it produces boost from idle, making the engine feel enormously responsive and powerful from the moment you open the throttle.
Our supercharger range focuses on TVS-type positive displacement blower kits from Magnuson Superchargers - one of the most respected names in OEM-style supercharger kits designed for clean, professional installation on popular LS-powered GM trucks and SUVs, including Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, and Suburban applications.
Magnuson TVS Supercharger Systems
Magnuson Superchargers has built its reputation on producing OEM-quality supercharger systems that install cleanly using factory mounting points, maintain all factory emissions equipment and engine management integration, and deliver dramatic power increases with genuine long-term reliability. The TVS (Twin Vortices Series) rotor profile at the heart of their systems is more thermally efficient than older Roots-style designs, producing cooler charge temperatures at a given boost level and delivering power increases that can approach 100 horsepower on naturally aspirated LS engines without the heat management challenges that characterise less sophisticated designs.
These systems are complete kits - they include the supercharger unit, all mounting hardware, a charge air cooler where applicable, a tuned intake manifold, and the calibration files required to configure the factory ECU for correct fuelling and ignition timing at the elevated power level. The result is a vehicle that retains factory driveability, idle quality, and reliability while producing substantially more power than the original engine specification.
Supercharger Gaskets and Service Components
Supercharger base gaskets and service components for existing installations are also available - ensuring that established supercharger systems can be properly maintained and rebuilt without the need for complete kit replacement.
Installation and Support
A supercharger installation is a significant mechanical undertaking that should only be carried out by an experienced builder or workshop with appropriate tools and facilities. Correct installation includes all hardware torqued to specification, proper belt tension and alignment, coolant and oil connections made correctly, and a professional ECU calibration or tune verify to ensure the engine is running correctly at the elevated power level before any sustained high-load operation.
